Andiamo Partners with Newburyport Youth Services to Bring You “Junior Chefs”

If you think kids can’t do more in the kitchen other than make a mess, think again! For the last six weeks, our very own Jim Rogers partnered with Newburyport Youth Services to show kids how to have fun in the kitchen.

Each Thursday Jim met with a group of 12 or so “Junior Chefs” between the ages of 9-12 years old and taught them kitchen basics from sanitation, knife handling, and various cooking techniques such as sautéing, baking, roasting, and grilling.  For the final class, Jim moved the group from Newburyport High School to Andiamo Restaurant and invited all of their parents join. Working alongside Jim and his culinary team, the kids applied their skills in a big-time commercial kitchen and cooked a meal for their parents.  Split into four groups, one group made pasta, another soup, the main course, and lastly dessert.  They prepared it in the kitchen, presented and served it to their parents, discussed how they made it, and then cleared the plates.

Andiamo’s Winter Menu Has Arrived!

Hate it or love it, winter us upon us.  From scraping frost off your windows each morning to bitter cold temperatures, rest assured knowing that we have gourmet (and traditional with a twist) comfort food waiting for you.  Stop in and try our new flavorful soups, salads and entrees!

Our winter menu appetizers include our Polpettoni house made meatballs, Chicken and White Bean Soup, and our popular Burrata Trio made with Vine Ripe Tomatoes, Arugula Pesto, Roasted Butternut Squash, Walnut Mista, Aged Balsamic with a Crispy Guanciale and Fig Jam.

Whether you’re craving seafood, pasta or meat, our wide variety of dishes will sooth your senses.  Our entrees range from Butternut Squash Ravioli, Sicilian Lasagna, our hearty Rigatoni Bolognese and Salmon.

We’ve still got’em!  Featured below is our house favorite, the Short Rib “Two Way,” made with Slow Braised Short Rib and Hand Rolled Pasta filled with Braised Short Rib, Cipollini Onion, Wild Mushrooms & Caramelized Carrots and finished with a Super Tuscan Wine Sauce.

Fall is in the air at Andiamo!

Fall is in the air and that means one thing… our new fall menu is now available!  Stop in and try our flavorful new appetizers, salads and entrees!

Taylor’s Bridal Shower

Bride-to-be, Taylor, had her bridal shower hosted at Andiamo Restaurant + Bar this past May.  Taylor and about 40 guests enjoyed a delicious passed appetizers and a buffet, filled with pizza, salad, eggs benedict, and our award-winning burgers.  The maid of honor even set-up a photo booth to help capture this fun-filled crowd.

Congrats to Taylor & Jeb who are getting married next September!
